Jerry Lewis' son, Gary, and his Playboys were one of the resident bands at Disneyland. They were seen there by Snuff Garrett, the producer and signed to Liberty in 1964. They had a series of chart hits over the next two years until Lewis was called-up by the US Army. When he was discharged, his style of pop was no longer in fashion and his world fell apart. Drug problems were soon followed by a bitter divorce.
