THE ODD, the interesting and the down right bizarre all feature in an exhibiion of rock and pop memorabilia which opens in the St John's Centre, Perth, tomorrow.Over the past year Ivy and Alex Gerrard from Fast Frame in the centre had framed various items for local rock music archivist Roy Deane.
Roy sold the framed pieces to rock cafes and auctions.
Ivy and Alex found their work very interesting and suggested holding an exhibition of the pieces for Roy.
Ivy said, "It's been great fun and quite a challenge framing some of Roy's things and there is interest from the public so it was the obvious thing to suggest."
Roy's collection includes signed and autographed items relating to groups like Genesis, Queen and the Rolling Stones.
Centre-piece of the exhibkion will be a pair of trousers once worn by Jimi Hendrix.
Other items of clothing will include a shirt worn by Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd, an embroidered tishirt from Marc Bolan and a t-shirt worn by one of the punk band Generation X.
One of the most striking items is a poster for a concet at Caird Hall, Dundee, in 1976.
Top of the bill were the Sex Pistols, whose notoriety led to the banning of the concert and much of the tour.
There are also several 1960's psychedelic posters on sbow.
The exhibition will be staged for a week and background information will be sup plied on all the items, with many of the pieces for sale. Roy will be on hand tomorrow to answer any questions.
Ivy and Alex have already exhibited work on the themes of rallying and the Battle of Britain which proved popular.
