PERTH TAXI driver Bill Fair may feel like digging out a pair of platform shoes and slipping into glittering bell-bottoms for a small celebration.
Coming first in a pop quiz has won him a piece of prose written by the late 'glam rock' star Marc Bolan - driving force behind legendary 70s band T-Rex.
Yesterday Bill received the valuable snippet of memorabilia - worth over £100 - from quiz organiser and Tayside rock archivist Roy Deane.
Running the quiz for the first time, Roy said many of the entrants felt it was too tough. Now he promises to make future journeys into the world of music trivia slightly less difficult.
The next quiz starts tomorrow,with the winner getting a £50 voucher for goods at his Rock and Pop Shop in Princes Street, Perth.
