PERTHSHIRE music memorabilia collector Roy Deane is hoping the district council and Scottish Enterprise Tayside are in tune with his proposals to set-up a rock 'n' roll museum in the area.
He will meet with officials from both organisations next month to sound-out their reaction to the idea.
Deane has built-up an amazing collection over the past 20 years, and his Coupar Angus home is a shrine to off-beat notes from the music industry - but he's looking to off-load the collection.
Yesterday, Ian Reynolds of SET said next month's meeting had been arranged to give Mr Deane a platform for his proposals - no discussions had yet taken place and it was premature to suggest the rock museum plans had struck a chord with either body.
"We'll want to see what Mr Deane's collection consists of, listen to what he has to say and see if it has potential," said Mr Reynolds.
Earlier this year, Deane was said to be selling-off his music biz memorabilia at auction - but now he's calling for a rock museum to showcase every thing from a pair of Jimi Hendrix loonpants to a can of Michael Jackson cola.
