Pathologist, Dr. Albert Sachs, told the court, in East Grinstead, there was no evidence to show that death had, in any way, resulted from an asthma attack. It seems that isn't quite the way things really happened. The Visa Department at the American Embassy say they were aware of Pursey's conviction for criminal damage, caused when the band played on the rooftop of The Vortex last September. The trouble with that was that it wasn't actually the Vortex's roof they were playing on but a neighbour's, who quite rightly wasn't best pleased. Anyway, the Embassy didn't think the offence warranted a visa application being refused and yesterday asked the band's solicitors for documentation regarding the conviction. Today a representative for the band turned up at the Embassy and asked for their passports back, saying that they'd cancelled the tour.
