PLANET PUL '97

In succession to the previous editions of the festival, Planet Pul will again be held indoors at De Nieuwe Pul in Uden (near Eindhoven), Holland. On Saturday 7th June no less than seven (!) bands will take the stage.

ARS NOVA

Japanese trio, extremely powerful but above all a treat to see as the band consists of three tiny girls who play the most complex instrumental music you can imagine.

LEHMUR VOICE

From Holland. They have recently released an album on the famous Magna Carta label called 'Insights' and you should see them in the same league as Dream Theater ...

MASTERMIND

From the USA and with four CD's already released surely one of the most powertul trio's around.

QUIDAM

Polish and with just one album under their belt already very succesful. Imagine Marillion-type music with some Camel-like flute and a female vocal in the Annie Haslam tradition. Live they also play 'Rhayader Goes To Town' by Camel and 'Child In Time' by Deep Purple whilst they encorporate Genesis' 'Firth Of Fifth' in one of their own compositions. Surely the revelation during the recent 'Day Of Dreams' festival in Zwolle, Holland and a band to watch out for.

KEITH MORE

He's just left Arena and if you know that he once replaced Steve Howe in Asia and toured with the likes of Michael Schenker, jammed with Paul McCartney and Lenny Kravitz, then you know you're in for a treat here. This will be one of Keith's very first solo performances playing stuff from his acclaimed 'Guitar Stories' album and backed by the superb Mike and Mark Mondesir. If you're into Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Steve Morse then this one's definately for you.

CHANDELIER

From Germany where they have already released a considerable amount of material in the Marillion neo-prog vein.

COLLAGE

Stablemates of Quidam at Ars Mundi records in Poland. The latest album 'Safe' includes some wonderful songs whilst singer Robert Amirian is preparing a solo album. Tracks from 'Basnie', 'Nine Songs Of John Lennon', 'Moonshine', 'Changes' and 'Safe' are on the cards while it mght be possible that Collage and Quidam team up for a memorable encore. If you want to find out you'll better be there !
