The John Lennon Statue.

This statue of John is just across from the Cavern Club and outside the Cavern Pub. It was unveiled on the 16th January 1997. Obviously, it is a representation of the cover of John's 1975 album, "Rock 'n' Roll"

Each of the bricks carries the name of one of the 1,801 bands and artists who played the original Cavern.

The day this image was taken was 9th October and someone had thoughtfully marked the occasion of John's birthday with a bouquet of flowers.
